Nothing more than a meaningless list at this point, and I don't see any overly-glaring surprises, but it still highlights just how difficult Pitt's schedule will be. In my opinion, it will be very possible to have a good season and only finish 6-6. Just so many unknowns on that offense. I had a feeling this past season would be a struggle, but I sort of allowed myself to get caught up in the optimistic hype of what many were predicting before the season. I'm going to temper my expectations much more this season. The defense should be good, but I don't think it will be at some sort of shutdown level just yet. But this offense is going to take some time. Only two returning starers on an already-underperforming o-line; breaking in a new QB; a loss of your #1 receiver (even if he didn't always play like it last year, he was still the #1 receiver; Lopes is a nice possession guy, though); no clear-cut game-changer at running back as of right now... you get the picture.

I know that expectations are high for Kenny Pickett, but it seems unreasonable right now to expect him to just go put this entire offense on his back and compete for a Coastal Title. I'm looking at 2019 or 2020 as the year we finally start to break through with a team full of all-Narduzzi personnel. So, my measure for success this year is set at 6-6; what say you?
