@Chris Peak and @JimHammett have provided feedback from HCPN and others on the position battles at LB. I really like the five man rotation of Brightwell, Reynolds, Campbell, Bright and Pine. Brightwell seeming to be a man w/out a true position seems such an unusual situation for a fifth year player w/ that many games under his belt. Not being a thumper, I always liked Saleem outside. He was more of a stop gap Mike than a starter when Q got hurt.
Am I the only one surprised we heard nothing about Kyle Nunn and Albert Tucker? Wendell Davis and Jackson Henry are just RS Freshman so you don’t expect to hear much but Nunn and Tucker are entering year three of five. That’s when it starts concerning me if they’re not in the depth discussion.
Harley and Narduzzi get a good bit of credit despite our defenses being so poor over the years. The DB’s and DL seem poised for production. The LB’s “should” be able to rack stats in between. It’s critical that the defense is able to give Whipple the ball back, we need as many shots as possible w/ an unproven rungame, OL and new offense. Love to hear your thoughts.
