Extend Series vs PSU?

I would imagine as long as the dominator is coach you will see more of the "buy-a-win" type games instead of home/away with power5 schools.

Many nit fans I know want the more competitive non conference schedule but when the coach favors the easier road this is what the result is.
So is Narduzzi taking the easy road with games against Villanova, Youngstown State, Albany, Delaware, Richmond, Rice, Marshall and Ohio on future schedules? In reality Pitt is doing the same thing every other school is doing. Getting 7 home games to cover expenses.

But Pitt would like to play you guys. Are you saying that's a part of Narduzzi's idea of "the easy road"?

I have always said that the fighting pedos are our true rival. That being said.... I would be fine with ending the series. I just can't respect them at all and any time I see someone wearing their clothing I wonder how they can support that disgusting program.

What is a rival?

I'm almost 40 years old now, and I can honestly tell you that I have seen more important games played between Pitt and Va Tech than I have seen between Pitt and PSU. I guess the game would be "fun", but if rivalries include true "hatred", then the rival is WVU. If rivalries include season changing outcomes, then the rival should be more of a VaTech/Miami.

I'll be honest, I don't get the PSU infatuation and am lead to believe that the generation before mine must be the last one that feels them to be a "rival".

Grew up and attended Pitt during the peak of the Rivalry in the 70s. Used to enjoy the rivalry and believed the game should be played every year as these types of games are what makes college football great. However given what has happened with the cesspool to the east and their total disregard for common decency, I really would prefer that Pitt not schedule UPS again to make a statement regarding THAT INSTITUTIONS VALUES, or lack of. I'd much rather see PItt schedule WVU, despite the fact that their fan base is the most obnoxious in all of college football in terms of game day behavior.

I am in favor since the glory days of yesteryear are far behind the nits. Since joining the big Ten, the nits have fallen in stature and performance. But it is a good economic benefit for Pitt as a sell out. PSU doesn't want to extend for numerous reasons and they will find running away on excuses will be par for the course for them. They are the greatest excuse generating program in all of college football.
