Miami cant handle the size and strength of the UConn frontcourt. They are getting killed in the paint on both ends of the floor and look scared every time they try to attack on the inside like they are afraid of getting blocked.
Norchad Omier has been a no show in this game and has been eaten alive. If Miami has any chance in this game, the midrange game and 3 pointers need to catch fire in the second half.
It sure looks that way.UConn is going to win the national championship with zero struggle.
The UCONN defense has been stellar. Wong has had a man on his chest all night.Wow Miami with another ice cold
Spell. Wong has been awful
How did they lose 7 games in the Big East this year, and finish tied for 4th?The power and skill of the Uconn frontcourt is very Calhoun like. They are skilled and impressive. I knew Sanogo was highly underrated going to Uconn, I wanted him bad at Pitt. But their other 2 bigs with Clingan and Karaban are also really impressive for freshmen at Uconn.
This Uconn team should have had a much better record this year for the talent they have. They are performing now and it shows.
Good questionHow did they lose 7 games in the Big East this year, and finish tied for 4th?
So, if UMiami comes back and wins, who wears the home unis on Monday night? Then or SD State? Both 5 seeds ..

A look at the NCAA Men's Basketball Selection Committee's ranking of the entire tournament fieldwww.google.com
SDSU is the top 5 seed. Miami is the lowest 5 seed.
SDSU is no slouch and they won’t be pushed around on the interior like the U is tonight.UConn is going to win the national championship with zero struggle.
Hope you’re right, maybe SDSU will present a different challenge. Omier seemed like a force inside most of this year but he’s just been getting manhandled tonight.SDSU is no slouch and they won’t be pushed around on the interior like the U is tonight.
PS Dear Lord I loathe the UConnvicts!
You won’t have that dilemma to worry about. There’s no coming back from 20 down in the second half against this UCONN team. So, if UMiami comes back and wins, who wears the home unis on Monday night? Then or SD State? Both 5 seeds ..
They haven't quitYou won’t have that dilemma to worry about. There’s no coming back from 20 down in the second half against this UCONN team.
Nice little run to chip into it. Still down 13.They haven't quit
Ah-that explains why you saw some phantom officiating bias.Man , I hate UCONN. Miami is the last hope. San Diego St cannot score with UCONN.
8-1/2 minutes left; I'm saying there's still a chance, but it ain't looking goodNice little run to chip into it. Still down 13.
UCONN too sound at both ends to let them come all the way back.
Not gonna happen.8-1/2 minutes left; I'm saying there's still a chance, but it ain't looking good
The bracket usually opens up for UConn. Will need to beat a 13, 5, 8, 3, 5, 6 to win title. Only 2 of those are Power 6 teams. This has to be some type of record.UConn is going to win the national championship with zero struggle.
The better team with the better coach and players is winning easily.Shame Miami started this game so cold. They dug a whole they can't climb out of. They could definitely have given this team a serious run for their money.
That is an easy road, but, it is damn hard to make any kind of argument that they haven't been far and away the best team in this tournament. The bracket usually opens up for UConn. Will need to beat a 13, 5, 8, 3, 5, 6 to win title. Only 2 of those are Power 6 teams. This has to be some type of record.
This question was posed on the national board, but do you consider UConn to be a blueblood? If not, would they be considered one if they win on Monday night?
UCLA and Indiana don't qualify? Its always only Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas. Those are national programs. UConn is an elite regional program like Nova, MSU, Arizona, Louisville, Virginia, Gonzaga, etc. Blue Blood just cant be titles. It has to be do kids 1000 miles away wear your stuff to school. Do they sell your stuff at whatever malls are left 1000 miles away. For Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky that answer is yes. For UConn, its no.
The better team with the better coach and players is winning easily.
No argument here. That said, Wooga Poplar was 0 for 7 from the floor when this game was early and they were open shots he had been making . They needed everyone to challenge UCONN and they didn't get it from everybody. The better team with the better coach and players is winning easily.
UCLA and Indiana don't qualify?
If that’s the measure, Kansas is out. They have zero fans outside of their own alum and localized fan base. There are no kids, or adults for that matter, running around in Kansas gear anywhere outside of Kansas and maybe Kansas City Missouri. Kansas has very little reach as an institution outside of its own backyard.DEFINITELY not Indiana. You could make ab argument for UCLA.
I think the test is bandwagon fanbase. How many non-alum fans do the programs have outside their region? For me, that's what it has to be. UConn, Nova, Gonzaga, Virginia, MSU, teams like that have been as good or better than Blue Bloods but to reach that level it has to be more than wins and losses.
Yup. UConns defense is very impressive. interesting Match up with San Diego state. If they allow SDST to continue to play physical they have a chanceThe UCONN defense has been stellar. Wong has had a man on his chest all night.
UCONN does some really good stuff with their half court offense. They are really well coached.
Kansas is a national brand in basketball and has fans outside Kansas. I’ve met people through work that are Kansas basketball fans that don’t live in Kansas. The same goes for Duke, Kentucky, and UNC.If that’s the measure, Kansas is out. They have zero fans outside of their own alum and localized fan base. There are no kids, or adults for that matter, running around in Kansas gear anywhere outside of Kansas and maybe Kansas City Missouri. UCLA and Indiana are definitely traditional blue bloods by just about any measure.
