I'm new to being a Pitt fan (followed Narduzzi). It looks like you guys actually talk about Pitt news on this board. I can't believe how much Scouts board sucks. They seem to prefer politics over there. I just found this one.

We have our political discussions, too - but we limit those to the "Locker Room" forum on this site. Most posters are good about maintaining that separation.
Ive been on that other site for 15 years and this is by far the lowest it has ever been.

MSU all the way! I'm a big time MSU fan and will probably get into plenty of the BigTen vs ACC vs SEC arguments. I'm a big Narduzzi fan though which led me to watch all the Pitt games I could last season. Hopefully the discussions are better here. Scout and 247 are mostly ghost towns.
Welcome! I agree with your assessment of scout. It is a vast wasteland with no knowledgeable fans and a bunch of douchebags throwing insults at each other constantly. Their "mods" are worse than most of the posters and try and instigate things. I don't go there any longer because I got tired of the trolls and infantile jackasses with agendas to belittle Pitt, coaches, and fans.
This site has its share of jackasses also. But there are more good ones than bad apples here. And the good ones always seem to post something of value. It's like night and day compared to scout.

Thanks.. Yea that's pretty much exactly the feeling I got over there. It's true that a-holes are everywhere but at least discuss what is actually going on in the program every now and then. Outside of bitching about they haven't beaten anybody significant and this or that player is only 3 stars.. In game day it's usually a few people who thinks the coaching staff isn't proven arguing with the few that think they are the greatest. Pitt winning or losing determines the winner between the two groups. I'm sure there is some of that here too though.
The newest Pitt Scout site writer ran that place into the ground (even further than it already was). He hasn't even logged in there since April 4. Hilarious.
Who decides their favorite college team by the coach? Just curious, why? You know him? Is he from your home town or something? I mean my cousins PLAYED for Ohio State and I still had a hard time caring about it, and after they quit playing, I quit really watching.
He's pretty useless. And his minions of mods are even worse, if that's possible. No knowledge of what's happening with Pitt sports at all. That's why this site is a breath of fresh air to me.
They had some stupid sale over there that was ending at midnight, so that idiot every hour made a new thread saying 9 hours left, 8 hours left etc. Each new thread he created pushed one where people were talking off the front page. I made a joke on one of them and got a 2 week ban for it. What a joke.
