Heather was the worst AD in Pitt history. Terrible extensions and an unnecessary volleyball arena. We are probably going to save the $3 million and have Capel coach next season without NIL. Tank the season and then have essentially 2 years worth of NIL to use for the next coach.

These extensions have completely screwed Pitt, but something has to be done.

Pitt won’t pay market value for a top flight coach when they conduct a coaching search….they would rather pi$$ away millions in the form of buyouts of the bums they hired at bargain basement prices. Really shrewd.

At least that would be a somewhat logical explanation for the results. However, Capel is one of the highest paid coaches in the ACC.

If they were willing to pony up more money, they could have hired Nate Oates or Enfield . Instead they hired a guy with a checkered history as a head coach because of his Duke branding.
