I tried to support him as long as possible, but can’t do it anymore. Things are only going to get worse next year.
These extensions have completely screwed Pitt, but something has to be done.Heather was the worst AD in Pitt history. Terrible extensions and an unnecessary volleyball arena. We are probably going to save the $3 million and have Capel coach next season without NIL. Tank the season and then have essentially 2 years worth of NIL to use for the next coach.
Reseating for whom? The place is going to be a ghost town ala Stallings if Capel is brought back. They are too busy planning the reseating of the Pete.

Pitt won’t pay market value for a top flight coach when they conduct a coaching search….they would rather pi$$ away millions in the form of buyouts of the bums they hired at bargain basement prices. Who can argue with a strategy that has yielded one NCAA tournament in nearly a decade?Pitt won’t pay market value for a top flight coach when they conduct a coaching search….they would rather pi$$ away millions in the form of buyouts of the bums they hired at bargain basement prices. Really shrewd.
I’ve been to most of the home games. There were some pretty well attended games. You won’t see anything close to that next year. 4-5k will be the high water mark as opposed to 10-11k.Its already a ghost town.
Get those extra donations in on time! They are too busy planning the reseating of the Pete.
At least that would be a somewhat logical explanation for the results. However, Capel is one of the highest paid coaches in the ACC.Pitt won’t pay market value for a top flight coach when they conduct a coaching search….they would rather pi$$ away millions in the form of buyouts of the bums they hired at bargain basement prices. If they were willing to pony up more money, they could have hired Nate Oates or Enfield . Instead they hired a guy with a checkered history as a head coach because of his Duke branding. At least that would be a somewhat logical explanation for the results. However, Capel is one of the highest paid coaches in the ACC.
