First thought re: UW game.....

we won't have much room to shoot beyond the arc, so we will need to get to the rim. Guard play will be a major factor-Wisky puts a lot of pressure on the ball, and we only have one legitimately capable ball handler.

The plus side is this is not their best group of players. and the maestro, Bo Ryan won't be on their bench.
Might want to check the thread below - a Wisky fan offered a brief summary of the team. Said they don't pressure the ball at all.

thebadby2 is correct that we attempt to limit 3PAs, however, and players like Trimble & Ferrell had big days against UW in attacking the rim. Also correct that this isn't our best group of players.

Saw that--maybe we are defining ball pressure differently. I don't mean to say they hand check the ballhandler, press beyond half court, jump passing lanes or anything like that. What I've seen their perimeter guys do is stay in front of the ballhandler and try to force him to the wings or corners. The don't harass the ballhandler so much as they try to contain him tightly. They are very good at closing out on the three point shots. Unless Gard has changed things, which is highly doubtful, this is how they have always defended the perimeter. I think it puts more pressure on the opposing PG than a guy who is hand checking and overplaying him.
