Football could pull off the gold out if they wanted.

Volleyball looks great in yellow. Not sure why the dolts choosing football uniforms prefer the non school color third jerseys that are usually ugly AF.

I always think having a lot of options for uni combos is a lot of fun. I am sure recruits think so as well.

now would I be happy to just see is be traditional Yellow Blue Yellow and Yellow White Yellow for the rest of time - of course they are theee colors.

But the intro of the white helmets and even a blue helmet could create some interesting combos which would be fun to break out every now and then... emphasis on now and then. I dont need something different every single week.

I also like having multiple options to mix and match. Not too sure about all yellow, though. But WVU has done it.

be careful, it could look good, it could go bad:

I think those gold jerseys might have looked good with blue pants. That the jerseys were new, but the "gold* pants were not and were faded; in many cases to near white, made it look even worse.

It was a bad era for Pitt uniforms all around IMO. The block Pitt logo as a helmet logo screamed generic to me.

I really never liked uniforms that were all one color. Just reminds me of a high school uniform for a school that just buys the cheapest combination possible. Probably a dumb opinion but it's mine.
Right. And too much like a WVU uni from the past. Ick.

Not crazy about those but I generally do like the Rams uniforms. But then again I’m always drawn to the royal and gold. Every team that plays in them I take a liking to the uniforms. Golden State, Buffalo Sabres, the Brewers, the Swedish women’s soccer team…but it might not be just the uniforms in their case, and my favorite pro soccer team was wearing a beautiful blue and gold uniform when I first fell in love with the team.

Heck when I was a kid I wanted Rick Mears to win the Indy 500 because of his car color.

On a late Saturday night if I’m watching football on the west coast, I’ll stop and root for San Jose St because of their uniform colors.

The Pitt hoops golds when Miller, Matthews, Porter, Shorter and Martin played was my all time favorite uniform. No reason why football couldn’t do something similar. But Nike would screw it up like they did our current basketball golds.

And don't forget that the helmets were a third different shade of gold.

Speaking of different colors for Pitt, I’d LOVE to have one of those red Pitt baseball hats the guys on the sidelines wear to signal plays in during games.

I think a third blue helmet from time to time could be very cool.

Script on one side Panther head on other.

Monochromatic is a bad look 90% of the team and I’ve seen a few high school teams wear all gold and it’s not a good look. When you have great traditional uniforms, wear them.

They did wear the blue pants with the gold jerseys at least once that I recall. It was vs rutgers at rutgers.
