Hmm. If this is in fact true, this could be a step up from what we got from Chaney. One article I read about had two things that jumped out at me, one positive, one negative.
The ding against him was that in a key losses this year, he didn't utilized his best players enough. The positive is that he is NOT a system guy; he doesn't try to fit a round set of personnel into his square system (ala the Fraud, RichRod, etc.). He is flexible, and works around his personnel. Also supposed to be good at developing QBs, especially mobile ones like MacVittee.
