I know most of the fans believe AD Barnes made a dirty deal (at least one that was not above reproach). Does anybody know how the Pitt views that deal? Do THEY believe that they have been exploited by cronyism? How much does that provide the motivation to fire Stallings for cause? I know that it might be risky/inappropriate to say it publicly, but as a fan it would make me more appreciative of Pitt. It’s not a good thing to be cheap and fail to follow through on your commitments; it’s another thing to stand up to people who intend to plunder you.
Is this only about Stallings’ record and fan reaction, or does the sketchy nature of the deal factor in?
