For those at the game.

Wasn't it Blues Attack or something like that?

I get with the band out in El Paso that they wanted to try something different, but lets hope that's one of those things that they try once, and then never again.

Not a bad idea but I didnt really like them. I wouldn’t have gone with 4 65 year old dudes but I appreciate the creativity.

I thought they were pretty good. But I appreciate good musicians who have fun playing. I'm not into whatever the DJ plays during games, whatever that is. But everyone likes something different. I really liked the girl who sang the National Anthem. Beautiful voice!!!

Nice to see ageism is another smf defect . Those dudes coukd play unlike the no talent ass clown dj
They were fine and nobody should complain about them. However, in typical Pitt fashion, not sure why they did this. Presumably they were paid at least a few thousand for the gig. Since nobody knew they were playing, they didn’t add anything to the coffers. Nor did they add anything to the atmosphere and it was just out of place.

Maybe they thought it would add to the atmosphere. A couple of thousand ( which I think is too high of an estimate) isn’t going to make or break the budget.

I know, but it was definitely out of place.

I didn’t care either way and they were fine, but it was just odd.

I never really understood the popularity some DJ's have. I get its a little more than pressing play.....but how much more really. I never thought that Pitt DJ added anything more than what can be played over the loudspeaker. As for the old dudes, I just think senior citizens playing music is creepy and weird, even the legends but that's just me.

They weren't my cup of tea, but I like the idea of bringing in a live act given there was no band presence.

I am at the other end of the pete and they were not loud enough . They had talent..and i see it as an option when the pep band was not available . Their age means nothing they could play smf is an ageist

That's my issue. I have no problem that they tried something. I just don't think it did anything positive. It was just a way to kill time.

If they feel the need to do something, maybe show some highlights of the game or of other Pitt athletic events. Or heck, just play a tape of the band if you feel the need for music to fit the space.
