Was at a retirement party last night for a friend and got into a college football discussion with a few guys there. One of them is the owner of a specialty Bourbon company and an SMU grad. A great guy, who granted had a few bourbons, but here's the gist of his comments.
First of all, he was very knowledgeable about Pitt football and also very complimentary of Pitt. He basically said SMU won't be getting an invite to the ACC even though they want one and are offering the ACC a sweetheart deal $$$. In his opinion, the ACC is a dead conference walking. Secondly. he said Pitt will be receiving an invite to the Big XII as soon as Texas leaves. He said the Big XII really wanted Pitt in 2011 before Pitt joined the ACC.
