It is a short and the weather was fine for December in Detroit.
The Panthers were very well represented and the fans were enthusiastic.
Ford Field is an excellent facility.
I'll take climate-controlled and 72 degrees any day of the week.
A fun trip except for the outcome.
If in Detroit, Mitsos Greek Food. The wait is worth it for the traditional Greek gyro made from hand-stacked pork.

You could easily have a "top tier" bowl at Ford Field. Right in the hear tof B1G country. Detroit is not the hole it used to be, and the facility itself is VERY nice. I'd argue that's it's a better venue that the "Suga' Bahwl" if you factor out the new Orleans vide, which is hard to do.

Regardless, deserves better, more relevant teams than what it got.

I've been to Ford Field once. 2/5/06. Sat 3 rows in front of Snoop Dogg, who was decked out in Steeler gear. Big fan of Ford Field.
I also went to that game. Also went to Snoop Dawg's concert at some club in Detriot the night before. He had a half Bettis/half Hines black and white Steelers jersey on. Much herbage was lit when he came out. Also then after the Super Bowl celebrated in Greek town and the casino with buddies. Also....tailgated with Jim Kelly and his brother before the game. Great times....

Downtown Detroit has come a long way since then, very vibrant now. The neighborhoods, not so much. But downtown is vibrant and thriving. A Super Bowl at Ford Field now would be a much better experience than it was in 2006.

Ford Field would be a perfect spot for an early season “neutral site” game like Atlanta and Jerry World have, I don’t think they ever tried to start one up though.

Yeah, I stayed in downtown Detroit at a new hotel last year. Alot different than 2006. It was so weird, there were all of these pop up bars that you could tell after Super Bowl week, they would go back to being empty stores and buildings then.
