I said awhile ago it would be best for everyone if he came home and finished on a good note.looks like he is transferring, wouldn't mind him coming here for a year we could use another veteran WR
No thanks, Pitt shouldn't be a "go where you want to go, then come here when all else fails" option. Besides, he's shown literally nothing in four years; no reason to think he'd even add anything to the team.
So he can't play next season? He would start in two years, Boyd's third year in the NFL.
Wow! Pitt must now be the number one school for HS kids to want to come to. It must be so nice to just reject and spit on a kid for going to a place like Alabama instead of the football powerhouse that Pitt has been for so long now. You all sound worse than those holier than thou nitters,
This should be obvious to everyone. Narduzzi's not a dunce. He's thinking the same thing. Have Foster compete with Weah, Matthews, etc. Seems like an ideal replacement for Ford. There's no downside to taking him. I really hope he ends up at Pitt and is reinvigorated by the change. Weah and Foster and Matthews with speedsters like Henderson, French is a very nice set of eclectic WR.I think we'd take him as a transfer in a heartbeat. Things haven't worked out for him at Alabama and im sure realizes he made a mistake not coming here. Turning him away out of spite benefits no one. I'm sure we could use another big, speedy WR after Weah graduates. Bring him in with the expectation that he is going to have to really work hard to see PT...no guarantees. He's a kid who probably always thought he had a future in the NFL. He would be extremely motivated and a real weapon in our offense.
Luckily for Pitt, and unlike some Pitt fans, Narduzzi isnt so butthurt that he will say no to Foster.
If Narduzzi thinks he can make this team better, thats good enough for me.
Some Pitt fans are babies.

Weah and henderson would get meaningful snaps at Alabama. Thing is Weah never see's the field at Alabama because they wouldn't have waited for him to "get it", which often times takes playing in real game situations. At Bama there is no time to find yourself, you either have it or you don't play. Boyd would have started at Bama at least a couple of years. Weah would have been 10th on the depth chart and never got a shot, and would be transferring, thats the thing these kids need to realize when choosing a school at a school like Pitt or even PSU you will have chance at most spots to learn on the job. At bama or USC unless you are a NFL 1st rounder you aren't playing unless you are already a polished product.Robert Foster was the 4th or 5th WR for Alabama for the last 3 years, being in the rotation and getting meaninful snaps every now and then. He was a starter his sophomore season before getting hurt?
How many Pitt WRs would be in the Alabama 2 deep? Tipton, Arujo-Lopes, Challingsworth?
Foster walks in and is a guaranteed starter from Day 1. If we can get consistent QB play, a receiving core of Weah, Foster, Henderson, and Chris Clark might be scary good.
But, yeah, so Weah never (obviously) would have been recruited or still on the roster. Henderson might have had a chance, but very unlikely for anything outside of the return game. No one else would even get a sniff as a rostered player. Even with the option to take him right now (after this year's production at Pitt) Weah wouldn't be a top 4 WR at Alabama and that gives him the benefit of the doubt over Foster, true FR Trevon Diggs, and a Henderson-esque player in Xavian Marks, who is contributing as a return man.Weah and henderson would get meaningful snaps at Alabama. Was it the cow or horse manure that got you on to this????I smell a nitter.....
I guess he's watching Boyd with Cinny making lots of money, getting NFL playing time 411yds on the season 62yds against the Ravens Sunday.Wonder how his father is enjoying the now 4 year old SUV..
We don't need him!
I could care less about that as most of us do. The only hesitation would be, would it delay the development of players like Tipton and Matthews? What should matter is, will our team be better with him? Honestly, if Tipton didn't get hurt and was showing signs of being a consistent #2, id probably say "no thanks" but he missed a ton of time this year and Matthews is very raw too so I'd say ok.I want quality people who can help Pitt win football games. If Foster meets those qualifications, I would gladly take him on the team. No clue why anyone would dismiss the idea just out of spite.
Those situations aren't remotely similar. Rushell Shell was kicked off our team. Incredibly ignorant post. And we should have welcomed Shell back with heartfelt thanks while streaming tears of gratitude for so honoring our insignificant little school by bestowing his unquestionable NFL talent upon us peons. How well have our past prodigal sons done after their return with their tails between their legs?
Obviously,Tyler Boyd was a fool.
It is so enlightening to learn that donning an Alabama jersey guarantees an inevitable enshrinement in the NFL Hall of Fame.
shell wasn't kicked off the team.. I agree, it's a terrible comparison but the fact remains, Shell left then wanted to come back..Those situations aren't remotely similar. Rushell Shell was kicked off our team. Incredibly ignorant post.
Yes, this is the big question--I heard he was not a fan of the books, if he has to sit a year, it might not be worth tying up a schollie for two years with him...but if he can play next year, grab him in a heartbeat!this is dumb, if he wants to come you take him. Laugh at the posters who always throw out they only want kids who are 100% committed to Pitt or turn away anyone who originally spurned a Pitt offer.
But I would think a big issue is has he even graduated? I seem to remember grades were an issue with Foster in high school. I think that is a requirement to play immediately with a grad transfer. Otherwise he is looking at a regular transfer and that requires a year to sit out and he doesn't have the eligibility for that.

Basically semantics. He was pushed out of the program after the (poor production and) discipline issues. He could have stayed, but for all intents and purposes he was happily given plenty of boxes to pack up his shit and leave.shell wasn't kicked off the team.. If he wants to come here, Pitt will take him. You guys are nuts.
