Assuming we don't nab a RB recruit or transfer before the season begins, are we okay with having only four running backs on the roster? I tend to think it's *probably* enough, but I think we were actually down to the 4th string for a week or two in either '15 or '16 due to injuries, so that may be cutting it close. I was much more okay with not recruiting a RB in this class before Moss left. Plus we're losing Whitehead who essentially served as an ad hoc running back.
Campbell looked okay at a safety position we're not exactly stocked (Stockered maybe, but that is much less desirable), so I assume the days of him experimenting at RB are over, but I assume Ffrench can serve as an emergency back if need be. But how does this play out if we don't land anyone before signing day - Do we leave a scholarship open for flexibility and then pursue a grad transfer (like Rachid Ibrahim-esque quality... It obviously wouldn't be some stud) at RB if someone goes down in camp? Or is adding a 5th guy crucial, regardless?
Or am I a complete idiot and totally forgetting about a player (Hall, Ollison, Sibley, Davis... I believe that's all we have there)?
