Just another tough game for Pitt & Coach Pat & Staff!

They have the entire ACC Coastal Teams Pitt Plays and including Pitt as a Honorable Mention Sleepers too!!!!

WVU has to contend with a rising UTexas Charlie Strong Program back on the Top Ten Mend. Penn State has to be careful on taking on Northwestern as a Honrable Mention Sleeper!

1. Louisville
Is Louisville being here a reflection of how I feel about the Cardinals in 2015, or is it because of what I think about the ACC as a whole? It's probably both. Louisville has quite a bit to replace off last year's team (no team in the ACC has fewer returning starters), and that includes just about the entire offensive line. Yet I still feel good about the Cardinals.

The defense may have lost quite a bit, but Charlie Strong left that cupboard pretty full for Todd Grantham, and we know that a Bobby Petrino offense is going to be fine. And when you look around the ACC Atlantic, both of its traditional powers of late have question marks of their own. Florida State will be good, but how good without Jameis Winston and other key players from the past couple of years? Clemson will still be good, but how sorely will it miss offensive coordinator Chad Morris, all those departures on defense, and can DeShaun Watson stay healthy?

I don't know the answers to those questions yet, but what I do know is that if both Florida State and Clemson take steps back in 2015, Louisville will be more than happy to pick up the slack and win the Atlantic. And given everything that goes on in the Coastal Division on an annual basis, if Louisville gets to the ACC Championship Game, you would have to like its odds.

Honorable Mention: Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Northwestern, everybody in the ACC Coastal

The only comment I'd like to make is looking at that picture of Bobby Petrino makes me shudder. Talk about slimy. The fact that Louisville hired him back is a statement on how desperate schools are to WIN, at all costs. I know many here may disagree with me, but the day Pitt lowers itself to those depths is the time I walk away.

Pop-Up Ads Suck!

In response to Pitt-Girl's Posts, every one has Divine Light within them and all fall and rise by how they treat others and themselves. he is one heck of coach that earned his lessons the hard way. ULou has Rick Pitino make the same mistakes and both were publicly embarrassed and let their wives, families and universities down. Yet, both know how to recruit, coach and have both said they were ashamed what they did.

Big problems of values have happen at ND, USC, UNC, OSU, MIAMI, PSU, and can happen at any Program at anytime it is how one deals with it and Petrino and Pitino still regret their actions and have said it many times.

I'm sure Petrino is truly remorseful about his most recent picadillo at Arkansas but moreso I was talking about the shameful way he originally left L'ville and then more shamefully left the Falcons. Then there's the whole mess this past February with the high school kid he stiffed. This man is a scum bag. I have zero problem with Rick Pitino.

Really, you have no problem with Ricky “IHOP” Pitino? Lou defiantly looks the other way when it comes to sports teams & winning

Compared to the moves Petrino has made his entire career, Pitino looks like a choir boy next to him IMHO.

I am in agreement with you, Pitt and other programs could have hired Petrino but chose to ignore him, and you are correct as far as I am concern.

To me he was like Pederson, he used ULou to get a better job, did a horrible job by being more selfish for his needs and himself with his own ego and arrogance, and then was fired, and crawled back to ULou. Now based on some of his recruits still has a lack of values and it is still about him, and this is why I agree with you.

Is he is great coach, no doubt it, so was Paterno, but the shame he did to PSU name was of his own making as much as the excellence of his coaching, and that is not a win win, but a win lost!

Pitino was a target by someone trying to extort him, and stood up, and just took the embarrassment rather than being extorted and that shows character unlike Petrino.
