From College Football News' Twitter feed:

Again, no thanks. Do we really want to see our D exposed and ANOTHER QB throws for 500 yds & 5 TD's?? And if their RB went for 300+ vs. OU, what's he gonna do against us??? I'll stick with a plodding B1G team in Yankee Stadium as my pick...
We'll kick their asses. Buck up, Clarence.

90% chance? No way. Did you see what we did on 3rd down? Have you watched Pitt's defense in those type of situations?

Being aggressive is one thing. That was flat out idiotic and it cost them the game.

My guess is there is a 90% chance to make a 4th and 1. You do that, game over. You punt it and it goes in the endzone, all you did was gain 10 yards of field position. Of course, it could have worked out where they pinned us at the 1 but what if it didn't?

Be aggressive. If Pitt is ever in a position to win a game by gaining 1 yard, I hope we go for it also.

Actually, in the worst case scenario – which would've had them punt the football into the end zone – they still would've gained 15 yards.

Blewitt's kick was from 48 yards out. Do you think Clemson could've used those 15 yards?

Now, what happens if Clemson pins the ball somewhere inside the 10– which was much more likely? How in the hell were we going to go 60 or 70 yards in such a short period of time without any timeouts or any real playmakers to threaten them down the field?

Our entire offense is geared towards jet sweeps, shovel passes and power traps.

I am all for aggressive play calling but in the words of Kenny Rogers, "You've got to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em."

Dabo gambled and lost, it's just that simple.

I thought at the time it was a stupid decision. I think in retrospect it was a stupid decision; and if you ask me in 10 years I will still tell you it was a very stupid decision by Clemson. I think it was largely responsible for our win so I thank them for it.

However, if the shoe were on the other foot, I would be irate with Narduzzi for putting the game at risk when there was no reason whatsoever to do that.

The decision to go for it on 4th down was insane. They were basically willing to put the outcome in jeopardy on one play, when they didn't have to. Had they punted, they still would have had a huge advantage. Arrogance cost them, and Pitt made them pay in for it in a big way.

I reminded me some of the USC/Texas Rose bowl.
I think the biggest issue was the caveman mentality of needing to run the ball. You have a fantastic mobile QB in Watson who had been picking us apart, including the 4th quarter. 3rd and 1, I have absolutely no doubt I roll him out on an RPO and take the chance of a sack or incomplete pass. A sack really doesn't hurt you because you just punt on 4th. An incompletion stops the clock, but then, again, you punt and Pitt has another 30+ seconds, but they also have another 15-30 yards to gain for a FG attempt. And if you are sold that you are going for it on 4th either way? Do you really think putting the ball in Deshaun Watson's hands doesn't get you 1 yard on 2 tries?

Thank you Dabo for being Dabo. Pitt had to step up and actually make the plays, but Clemson did their part by making the dumbest choices they could.
