Can't see the upper end zone, but I'm guessing at least 7,500 here. Wonder how many are fake ones? Saw one dude in an FSU hoodie and a Steelers hat.

I always bash WVU fans who love everything Pittsburgh in pro sports yet chant “Eat Sh*t Pitt” to Pittsburgh’s very own university…

The ones who are not used to the city atmosphere are the real ones.

As long as I’ve been on this board it’s the weirdest intended insult and it’s been going on for years. The people who say it are goofs.
It’s such a slam!
I’m going to cry tonight over my 22 +year so far making a nice living .

Next point point out how my house is nice and my family is healthy !

There were more than I anticipated. Probably around 50% of everyone on the visitor side was in FSU gear. Other than a couple of chants, they were real quiet until the end of the third quarter.

5000 tops. They were all on the lower sideline, which again is a pet peeve. Pitt can't get out of its own way. For decades I said they needed to move the TV view at the Pete so it doesn't look so terrible with Pederson's stupid boxes. I've been saying something similar about football. Pitt should be on the other sideline so true Pitt fans sit on that side. The Pitt sideline is well attended almost every game. The visitor sideline is ticket brokers. So the seats are empty unless a big name team buys them.

And upper deck sideline. They had a decent showing in the usual upper deck corner where there seems to be a visitor's allotment of tickets.

Had to be more than that.

Yeah they showed up. The lower visitor sideline was all red. Give them credit. At least the few on the home side weren't douches

Only Pitt would put the ticket broker-owned seats on TV. If Clemson is good next year, it'll look the same. Pitt fans dont own those seats.

I have often sat in those seats. Tons of a penn state or wvu fans buy season tickets for their one game and then resell their remaining ones. Some pitt fans do too. I have seen scalpers outside sit in my section so yes the brokers have some of those seats.

There were more than that, they had 1/2 the lower bowl on the visitors sideline and a full section in the upper deck corner. Probably 1/4 to 1/5 of the stadium was FSU fans. I was surprised by the size of their turnout. Probably the most away fans I've seen at Heinz/Acrisure for a non PSU, ND or WVU game

talked to some fans at the casino Friday night, very nice. They were doing the double header with stillers Thursday, Ptt game Saturday. So I think that helped attract some visitors. Also don't discount that many fans were probably from Etna who bought the shirts on Amazon and have been following FSU due to their success in the 90's/early 2000's.

Quiet as in disbelief that the game was in doubt early on…lol. Tomahawk chops?

At least they weren't walking out with their backs to the team before the 4th. There's nothing players hate worse, than looking up to the stands seeing their fans turn their back on them and walk out.

There is literally no fanbase in the country that doesn't to some extent leave the game early when their team is losing and it's obvious that they aren't going to be able to come back.

We had 4 family members fly up from Orlando to attend the Steelers game and Pitt-FSU game. A lot of FSU/Steelers were on the flight. You can get a cheap flight from just about anywhere in FL to Pittsburgh, so I’d imagine you had a lot of people do the same thing from other parts of FL as well. Then add in the bandwagon fans from the area who couldn’t find Tallahassee on a map. They had a good showing. Probably a little larger than Tennessee last year.

With all those fat FSU mamas on the plane, I'm surprised the pilot didn't have Sully everyone out of the Mon.

They're ranked #4.....people are willing to travel or buy tickets for teams in that position. Their fans in our section were OK and not a bunch of belligerent asshats.

I normally dont leave early. However, Narduzzi clearly conceded the game with 7 minutes when he punted on a 4th and 3 from his own 35, down 17. I realize, we only had about a 1% chance to win at that point but when you punt, it goes down to 0%. I was shocked and disgusted so I left. I couldn't understand it. So I thought, why would he do this, what's the spread. Oh, its 21. Is he trying to cover the spread? Gambling has become a huge part of college football.

Again, I know it would have taken all-time miracle. Convert the 4th and 3. Hit a big play, score a TD with 5:30 left. FSU fumbles with 4 minutes left. We hit a TD with 3:00 left. They go 3 and out. We kick FG and win in OT. All-time miracle but for me, I play till the end because you never know. I didn't like Narduzzi conceding.

I remember 1994 being down 31-3 going into the 4th quarter. Had we all left we would have missed an amazing comeback to tie our biggest rival 31-31. I also remember still being in the stands when they carried a lame duck coach Ron Zook off the field after they beat us on dedication night for Bobby Bowden field. That said, I don't think many stayed in the stands during the Willie Taggart years.

Also, what is up with this site only allowing one post per day? As soon as I hit 'Post reply' it's going to give me a you lack permissions to post here message until tomorrow.

I remember that game. A bandwagon FSU friend of mine bought a shirt that said "Nice tie" with a picture of an FSU tie choking a Gator.

We famously blew a 31-6 lead in the 4th against Houston. We were also up 34-13 with 4 minutes left and lost in regulation. That game and FSU/UF were evenly matched teams though. Pitt/FSU were not so our chances of a miracle were significantly less. Still, I dont like conceding on 4th and 3.
