So can't use them to get there either, unless you don't care about it. They search, so they'll probably find it.....

Not for in the game. Getting to and from the stadium. As long as it isn't opened inside, shouldn't matter. No big deal,we'll all be soaked anyway.I'm not aware of a single stadium in the country that permits umbrellas. I have no issue with such regulation, as if a person in front of you has one...you will be unable to see the game. Pretty simple. Hail to Pitt!
Your comment reminds me of the Larry David skit in his great series Curb Your Enthusiasm"Excuse me is that an umbrella in your pocket or are you happy to be here?"
My girlfriend has brought an umbrella into every game at Heinz Field for the past five years. You can't use it during gameplay, but there's a lot of non-gameplay especially if we're talking about a potential delay while you're there. Also, god forbid you want to walk to the stadium from your parking spot and use an umbrella.I'm not aware of a single stadium in the country that permits umbrellas. Akron did not allow umbrellas into the stadium. They did permit you to leave them just outside the stadium though; there was a large pile of umbrellas right outside one of the gates.
