So can't use them to get there either, unless you don't care about it. They search, so they'll probably find it.....

I'm not aware of a single stadium in the country that permits umbrellas. I have no issue with such regulation, as if a person in front of you has one...you will be unable to see the game. Pretty simple. Hail to Pitt!

Not for in the game. Getting to and from the stadium. As long as it isn't opened inside, shouldn't matter. No big deal,we'll all be soaked anyway.

Akron did not allow umbrellas into the stadium. They did permit you to leave them just outside the stadium though; there was a large pile of umbrellas right outside one of the gates.

My girlfriend has brought an umbrella into every game at Heinz Field for the past five years. You can't use it during gameplay, but there's a lot of non-gameplay especially if we're talking about a potential delay while you're there. Also, god forbid you want to walk to the stadium from your parking spot and use an umbrella.

If you cannot use an umbrella in the stadium...why in the world would you want to use one to get to and from the stadium? Talk about nonsensical. Wear rain gear and make the best of it. I remember a game down there in Blacksburg a few years ago that it rained the entire game and was bone chilling cold...nearly was snow--really miserable game to sit in the stands. Looks like this may be our season of rain...Pitt has been lucky the past couple of seasons. Hail to Pitt!

Okay, you can bring an umbrella into Heinz Field, but you cannot use it. Brilliant! She must have been a philosophy major. So you probably carry a condom in your wallet, but are not allowed to use it. This has to be one of the funniest things I have read today. Thanks for the laugh. Hail to Pitt!

My wife was not happy about that. I couldn't figure out what was taking her so long to get through the gate. She refused to leave her umbrella in the barrel that they had. I thought it was funny because they had absolutely no security so I could have walked in with any type of weapon on me but she couldn't bring her umbrella in.
