We've not discussed this much, but let's give Narduzzi credit for being a good game day coach (yet one more thing to give him credit for). As a first year HC, and a defensive one at that, many questioned how good he would be as a game day coach, particularly in year one.
But he has done well with calling the game. No mysterious time outs, or punt decisions, etc.
And he has made gutsy decisions, which showed confidence in his players. We've all heard that he has gotten his players to believe in themselves, and I'm sure he's done several things to accomplish that. But perhaps nothing helped achieve that goal more than him showing them that he believes in them with the decisions that he's made.
Against GT, he showed confidence in the offense by going for it twice on 4th down in the final drive, and then showed confidence in both Blewitt and his defense by sending Blewitt out to take the long FG.
And he did it again today by calling the fake punt. By calling it, he was saying 'I believe you guys can execute this play.'
