I think one of the biggest factors in the loss of production form the running game is not having Aston on the field. He seemed to be the one that took out that last tackler filling the gap and opening the whole on every big gain. I can't believe he is not on a NFL roster.

I was surprised the Broncos didn’t give him another look when Janovich got hurt. Looks like they picked up someone else.

He took the role over after janovich injury but then all of a sudden cut? Injuries?

That was in preseason, Janovich just had a horrible injury last week and the Broncos elected to pick up someone else.

I had read the Patriots brought Aston in for a look but didn’t sign him, maybe he gets another shot next season.

He was great. But I think 4 new linemen, and both NFL running backs we lost are the main reason.
Even when Aston was hurt and out we run the ball well.

#1. The offensive line is pretty young. Even more so if you factor actual games played. Last year had a bunch of older guys who played and practiced a lot of D1 football (even as backup and position changes)
LT - Warren RSSO
LG- Hargrove RSJR
C- Morrissey RSJR
RG- Kradel RSFR
RT - Houey RSSO
Essentially with this lineup you have 1 player who has played significant snaps. This group definitely needs to be better but changing schemes on a bunch of young guys then throwing them to the wolves isn't really recipe for success. I look for this group to take a large jump next year as most offensive linemen play their best football during their JR and SR years.

#2. It seems like we have a nice stock pile of linemen finally and we can be patient bring them along (as most successful programs do).

#3. My major concern with this group is that they were brought here to road grade and instead play patty cake all day (pass blocking). I wonder is some of them are really disappointed in the transition (especially since some of these guys are our better ranked players).

Guy would be perfect as a hybrid. He runs pretty well, catches decently and blocks like a mad man. I’m surprised he’s not currently employed.
