In general, take SEC people out of it, consider all college fans of all teams, what % really get EXCITED to see another SEC-centric playoff? Who here was really EXCITED about last night's game?
The playoffs were a Big Ten centric playoff this year.

Georgia could replace half the starting lineup and they should still win all games by double digits. Such an easy schedule.Georgia's 2023 schedule next year is easy by SEC standards. They'll cruise back to the playoffs.
Do you get excited to see the same few teams play every year? I think I'd get excited if there were no SEC or B1G teams some year. In general, all season long if I flip on the TV and see SEC teams, I can't stand it, I just flip the channel, except the last 3 minute of Tennessee beating Bama, Bama losing was worth watching. The playoffs were a Big Ten centric playoff this year.

What I want is simple, every team in D1 having a path into the playoffs JUST BY WINNING CERTAIN GAMES, like a conference championship game. With no eye tests. One of the most frequent responses I have given to you as it relates to your ideal college football world is:
Who cares what you want? You clearly are not a fan of college football, and what you want should not be catered to.
Last night was evidence of that. You had a playoff with 3 non-SEC teams. One team was a 3* level underdog program in the national title.
And none of that was good enough for you to give a sh*t. Why? Because you aren’t actually a fan of college football.
Don’t you think NFL teams would love to get their hands on guys like Maye, Williams, Bowers, etc. right now?
If the NFL wanted to get their hands on guys like that they could. Literally, every single year. And yet they chose not to, and have for decades.
Only hurts the players which is par for the course. The extra year did nothing for a guy like Jordan Addison. Just prevented him from getting to his first big payday faster. But yes, it does make a guy like Lincoln Riley happy.Yep. This guy thinks the NFL is punishing itself because it loves Alabama that much.
The NFL has the rule it does because the NFL has determined that rule benefits the NFL.
There’s nothing the NCAA could do about it.
Recruiting isn't Bama's problem. Bama has lost their identity as a program. They no longer play with the physicality needed to dominate inferior opponents week in and week out the way UGA does. Nobody fears Alabama anymore.I don’t know. Bama’s 2023 recruiting class seemed like a “we aren’t going anywhere” message to college football.
I'd be willing to bet that behind closed doors Saban agrees with this assesment.Recruiting isn't Bama's problem. Bama has lost their identity as a program. They no longer play with the physicality needed to dominate inferior opponents week in and week out the way UGA does. Nobody fears Alabama anymore.

People always say, “recruiting isn’t X’s problem.”
And maybe it isn’t the sole problem. But signing seven 5* players and an average recruit ranking of almost a .95, goes a long way to fixing whatever the problem is.
