Any coaster "nuts" out there??? And I mean "nuts."

I don't do roller coasters but Mrs Buffett does a typical adrenalin junkie.

Eventually we'll travel to this place to give this one a try?

She's been on most of the Top 10 in the US with these three being Mrs Buffett's favorites.
On Kingda she did six rides in a row and ended up having to give up lunch? How can this be fun?

Kingda Ka Six Flags Great Adventure Jackson, New Jersey.
Top Thrill Dragster Cedar Pt Sandusky, Ohio
Fury Fort Mill , South Carolina.

Kingda was the King Of Coasters before this one.
To steep to even work right???

No.

Even the train can get me nauseated these days.

The End.

Elevators are enough for me!
You can ask my family, anything under 10 floors is a walk for me. Probably a remnant of the time I was stuck in a USX Tower elevator for 2 hours many moons ago, but I do not like elevators. I go to great lengths to avoid.

Same here!
We go skiing in New Hampshire a lot.
The old Inns /hotels are like 8 floors and have the original old elevators that are like 4 ft wide and 7 ft high? I throw the luggage in with Mrs Buffett, I walk the floors and she rides the ancient elevator. She got stuck once in one of those for a while and it didn't phase her at all. I would have been crazy in a small space like that.

I got stuck in a NY City elevator going to a business meeting for a long time. The elevator was a big one in a large NYC office building with maybe 20 people stuffed in it in the summer.

To fix the problem they had to turn the electricity off, it was pitch dark, hot , no ventilation, and I thought this was it. I got out sweating, my jacket off, tie off, shirt unbuttoned, it wasn't good.

This was prior to cell phones with lights.

Today I carry a small flashlight when I go to a building with elevators which is most weekends since we're always at our favorite casino. For security reasons they make you take elevators unless it's an emergency.

We take at least one an amusement park trip a year. Last year, one of them was Canada's Wonderland. This ride will be one of there 2 top attractions along with leviathan (one of the best in the world).

Is this like the same thing that decapitated that poor kid in Kansas City?

One of the problems with these thrill rides are the part time summer kids who run them.

Waterslides are usually very straight forward and safe but not this one.

1st incident-Ten-year-old boy DECAPITATED on waterslide
  • Caleb Thomas Schwab, 10, died Sunday while riding an 168-foot-tall waterslide at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City, Kansas
  • Witnesses say he was decapitated after he flew off raft and hit safety nets
  • On Monday, medical examiners were scheduled to conduct an autopsy on the body of Caleb, the son of Kansas state Congressman Scott Schwab
  • Two female passengers on the ride, believed to have been sat behind him suffered facial injuries as Caleb was ejected from his seat at the front
  • A source told Dailymail.com that velcro straps on the ride were apparently not working properly on the day of the tragedy
  • The ride used to have an age restriction of 14 - something that was later scrapped in favor of a minimum total weight requirement per raft
  • Police say they are not investigating his death as a criminal incident
  • On Sunday, officials said ' We honestly don't know what's happened'

2nd incident -This was the kid and he hopped a Pair of security fences and was hit by the ride.
AUSTELL, Ga. — A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia, authorities said.
Six Flags officials are uncertain why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, S.C. scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.

Back in the 90's we took our kids skiing out West with us a lot.
The chairlifts in the East had safety bars on all lifts the chairlifts out West in CO they had no, I mean no safety bars.

Our kids learned how to ski at 3 when we lived in New England on the Vermont border, were good skiiers / racers at 5-7 and skied from the top of the mountain in the East and out West on intermediate to low level expert trails.

We would put them in kids expert ski/racing school for a half day of skiing and instruction each day and ski with them the second half of the day.
The instructors would put a class of kids maybe 15, 5-7 yr olds on a triple ski lift to the top of the mountain, no safety bars, and some of the ravines had 100ft+ drops.

Everyone survived.

Seems like they are at risk of falling from the building.
The risk is what the coaster adrenalin junkie roller coster people look for.
I live with one of them. The bigger and more dangerous the better!
That's why they keep building bigger and bigger coasters.

When Mrs Buffett is riding the Death Machines this is what I ride this one.
Sometimes the grumpy kids yell "get off my ride"?
