Giants cut Biz-not sure if this made the board....

It seems like the Giants have a habit of cutting draftees before they are acclimated.
Biz was with them for the entire 2017 season and actuallly played some. Sounds like he doesn’t move his feet well enough to handle the edge rushers and he’s going to end up playing guard.

New GM, new staff and he was a 6th rounder from the previous regime that spent most of last year on the practice squad. The Giants also signed Solder in the off season and used a high draft pick on a guard so it isn't a surprise.

Best of luck to him in Carolina.

You know the article you posted was from 2017, right? Last year he cleared waivers and was on their practice squad all year, except the last game of the season. He started at RT because of injuries. He was waived after the season and claimed by the Lions and with them until last week when he was waived and claimed by the Panthers.

No I didn’t—$hit. My bad. I just heard on the radio the other day that he’d been cut. Googled it up and got this article. I recalled when the Giants traded up late to get him so I was surprised at that news, that usually means they have high hopes. So it was the Lions cut him over the weekend-that’s a bad sign.

Sometimes it just takes OL longer, but Biz was probably always destined to be a swing guy that hopefully latched onto a nice backup job for a few years to make some good money and get the pension. I hope it works out for him, but if nothing else he spent his first year out of college making something like $200k+. That ain't too bad.
