First Pitt athlete ever nominated in Final 30 for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. Only 10 student-athletes from Division 1 schools are nominated.
I thought I was busy in college, but compared to her I (and probably most of us) was a slacker:
Graduated from Swanson School of Engineering. Did research on the ability of plastic microspheres to treat dry eye disease. Team leader of Pitt students who went to Brazil to oversee building and implementing bios and filters to provide clean drinking water to a remote village.
All ACC in both track and cross-country. Set Pitt record in 10,000 meter run at NCAA Championships and was second team All-American.
Quite an impressive resume. The football team should honor her at halftime of a home game.
