Not only did our Softball team make history by making their first NCAA Softball Tournament, they came out of the loser's bracket by beating both Oakland and California (who had beaten them in their first game) yesterday to make it to the Regional final at 3:30 today (ESPNU) against #3 Michigan on the Wolverines home field. They had to come back from deficits in both games yesterday, highlighted by Modic's Grand Slam in the bottom of the 5th against Cal. and a great pitching performance in both games by Harris.
They have a tall order today to make it to the Super Regional as #3 Michigan has only lost 6 games all year. They would have to beat Michigan twice. Pitt is 0-6 all time against Michigan.
