Our beloved Panthers once again find themselves in hostile territory this Saturday. I thought only NEC hoops teams had this kind of nomadic life....thanks again SP.
Still, we travel to Georgia this week and upstate NY the following week. 2 home games and 5 road games to start the season is not the "gold standard".
I want both games against Tech and 'Cuse in the W column. But the temptation is to think this team has arrived and thus we should be 6-1 after we visit the Crappy dome.
My sense is that there is a long season in front of us. Not from a doom and gloom perspective, but from the perspective of the need to take each game one at a time as the cliche goes. I am not going to get too up or down over the next couple of weeks. 5 road games in the first 7 is hard on anyone, let alone a team under an entirely new staff.
I am not skeptical.....just patient and I hope those who follow Pitt realize that the end of season will determine if we are gold or pyrite.
