Gonzaga vs Baylor

It's early but I predicted Baylor would beat Gonzaga after watching them struggle against UCLA. Not surprised at all right now, Baylor leading by 15. Should have thrown some money on Baylor. My bad.

Baylor just threw a haymaker and played about as good as they could. Zags were overwhelmed, but only being down 10 gives them a little momentum. First 4 minutes will tell the story.

Very impressed to see Gonzaga bounce back. Honestly didn’t think they’d be able to score against Baylor’s perimeter defense but doing a nice job in that 2nd 10:00.

Problem will be Gonzaga stopping Baylor.

Baylor has great athletes that are good at basketball. Gonzaga, other than Suggs, has players who are good at basketball but not so good athletically. Kispert who is an all-american has been awful!

Disappointed there's no drama in this one, but really impressed by Baylor's performance. We are light years from where they are it seems.

Absolute clinic! When Baylor is on, no one is beating them. Just a really nice collection of athletic guards who can all shoot and real mobile big men who screen well and roll to the rim and can finish. Super effort from start to finish.

After Saturday, this has been a significant disappointment of a game. But you really have to give it up to Baylor who have played spectacularly.

Gonzaga is athletic, they are very good. The bottom line is Baylor is just playing great, tip the cap to them, they had every response tonight.

Even Gonzaga is light years from Baylor tonight.

It is true we are light years behind them but so are just about all other teams this year anyway.

Would the Elite 8 Pitt team lose by 20 to this Baylor team? Sadly I think they might. At least by 10.

Sucks that this game sucked.
Good for Baylor.
Do you think some Pitt fans would've been calling for Drew to get replaced during his long tenure?

Only Suggs was athletically comparable to Baylor's guards. Their guards were just quicker, bigger, and stronger. Baylor's inside players were stronger, could jump higher, and set screens more solidly. They are superior athletically to anyone they play, couple that with shooting like they have most of the year and especially tonight and you see they have no equal this year.

Gonzaga would’ve lost 2-3 games in XII. Baylor would’ve went undefeated in XII had they not dealt with Covid issues for most of the year.

Baylor money line was the play. It’s as if the pundits didn’t realize that the best perimeter defense of all time would give Gonzaga fits.

I was sorry to see the Zags go down, but good job, Baylor. I have a soft spot for the rare undefeateds. When I was in HS, our boys' hoops team went undefeated in the regular season, made it to the WPIAL finals and lost, and reached the state semis and lost the western final to the same school. We finished 26-2. Our personal demon was Midland, the eventual state champions. They had lost a game in section play.
