Recruiting Rankings for UCF over the last 5 years:
2014 - 73
2015 - 63
2016 - 57
2017 - 53
2018 - 67
2019 - currently sitting at 58
2017 - They beat 3 teams that finished in the top 25! (Auburn, Memphis, USF) UCF finished #7 in the coaches poll.
2018 - They have yet to beat a team in the top 25 (LSU is up next). However they are currently ranked #8
THEY NEED MORE 4 STAR PLAYERS!
No... EVERY school could use more 4 Star players...
Quality QB + Good coaching + 3 Star players (emphasis on speed) + manageable scheduling = SUCCESS
Let the process play out and let’s see the results....
If you’re not going to be an innovative coach like UCF has, then you better recruit like Alabama.
We don’t have either. We have mediocre recruits and mediocre coaching....thus the 5 to 7 wins we see. No reason to get mad or defensive about it, it is what it is.
Not mad or defensive. I’m asking are there any questions on what UCF has accomplished based on their recruiting rankings. Maybe Pitt needs to do something different as well.
We are below average in donations compared to other conference members, so you could say our record is above where we deserve to be.

If you recruit Florida leftovers ( guys who couldn't go to FSU, Florida,Miami, Ohio State, Alabama,) you can build CHAMPIONSHIP teams. The main difference between 3 stars and 4-5 stars is either,....
1. Can't afford going to camps
2. Size doesn't translate to immediate success
3. Position depth
Most offensive and defensive lineman need time to develop size, strength or technical prowess. Its the guys who already have size or strength or some other attribute like speed and quickness ( see Jadeveon Clowney). Lineman are the hardest players to develop and they are the hardest to guage cause you don't know how they will respond to coaching. So im ok with recruiting 3 stars if you have a PROVEN system to develop them.....the problem is i haven't seen as much evidence of that so i think getting safe prospects is the way to go. Dave Wandstedt was good at developing Line prospects. Maybe we will see Narduzzi start to do that too.

We've been seeing how it plays out for the better part of the last 3 decades.
Him and George both look solid. I think the kid from Alabama we may lose is also prolly a LB in the future
