And I'm clearly here for the conversation..and pointing out what a bunch of whiny weak-willed myopic douches are.

Frankly owt- I've pointed this out numerous times... you, and plenty of others.. WANT BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN.
Because, you want to feel like you're smart for predicting it.

Which I find a completely baffling mentality..but, it's classic yinzerdom.
The perpetual negativity is why people are so intolerable- and ironically..feel THEY are entitled for better results, which is circular bit of nonsense.

If a junior deciding not to stay committed to Pitt makes you emotional...you need to find something else to live for.
I WANT bad things to happen? No. That is absolutely not true. I want Heron to decommit. I want to the hoops team to not make the NCAA's. I want Rowan to go elsewhere.

That is asinine. And it is another feeble attempt by the apologists to try to deflect the issues. Shoot the messengers. it is classic.

Because guess what, I Pitt goes 0-30 next year, deep down, I could care less. Hey, I not just survived but lived life to the fullest in the mid 90's when Pitt football was on the zero end of the 72 point beat downs. I can easily put if away.

That is the truth. And it is easier for you too, you live in Raleigh. I lived in Greenville, SC then. When you have some distance, you tend to be able to dismiss things and replace it with something else.

But to say I want bad things is just absurd and patently untrue.

Now, do I think it is hilarious when someone posts yesterday that the next shoe to drop would be Heron decommitting and the guy missed it by two days....yeah. That is hilarious. I like dark comedy.

recruits-I missed by 3 days and it was meant to be a joke. Being that I am apparently prescient, I wont make any more predictions.

I don't think so. He telling people how much superior he is to them is not exactly dealing with disappointment. It is no different telling you guys that you are a buncha fanboys who have no objectivity whatsoever and cannot see the forest through the trees because you ridiculously romanticize Pitt basketball like it is some right of passage that brings up memories of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Because let's face it....it is anything but that glorious and romantic.

But because he tells people they shouldn't be upset or mad when things go bad? Okay DT, you shouldn't write 25 "dribbles" when Pitt beats Delaware A&T because there was nothing noble about it.

I stick by my assessment of you.

I have plenty of year of material to base it on.

Easily putting away a bad sports team should be as easy as putting away a good sports team to do other things.

Perspective...the only thing changed between then and now for you, is how you elected to spend your time.

I only think we should fire Jamie if......

He DOES NOT fire a few assistants and hire some that are good recruiters! He obviously knows how to coach up kids.

It is that simple.

What is your timeframe?
Next year? The year after?

What if he doesn't make changes but things get better? Still fire him?

You're bored...don't mistake that for "fandom".

Oh the irony here. I'm bored because I admit to having an emotional interest in my team, watching the games, going to the games and posting on a message board. Yet, you have no emotional interest and it doesn't really bother you if they win or lose as you have so many other things to do (as if we don't) but you've managed to possibly make the most posts in Pantherlair history. If you are this passionate about wasting time writing on a message board for a team for which you feel no passion, then I would say you are quite terrible at prioritizing.

He would have the rock all day long at Pitt... and have national exposure.

I guess someone has to be filling pockets, no way something like this happens after a year of being committed.

I'm not passionate about the message board, either.

I've been posting a long time...and it take literally seconds to post.

The Heron situation is like when your 15/16 and your parents best friends daughter promises you she'll go to the prom with you.Now its getting closer to that prom and her legs have grow 6" her chest goes from a 31A to a 36C her red hair is now half down her back and now the capt of the FB team wants her. Guess what you need a new date. Moral : don't get excited about sophomores or even juniors get excited when they sign period.

Heron was a top recruit before ever committing to Pitt to begin with.

It's more like the kid with the cool car and older sibling who can buy them booze decided he wanted your date.

Moral: Choose your dates more wisely. Or be ready to offer what the other guy can.

SMF, I'm not the word wizard like many and I can tell you my PITT PASSION is over the top !

PITT IS IT !

From the perspective of a football fanatic but casual BB fan with ties to a big time BB school I would say that there is a problem somewhere in Pitt BB.
HOW CAN Pitt not recruit? We play in a if not THE top BB. Conf. We have a good recent track record and have fielded competitive teams. Now get this. One can understand competing against Duke and NC and others in the ACC. but it seems to me we have a problem when we can field teams not better than Butlet and Gonzaga. And I could go on about other programs which perform better than Pitt. We were embarrassed by a team from San Diego and we lost to Hawaii and struggled against mediocre competition this year. So while I am not in the fire Jamie mode whom I happen to like given brief meetings with him, I do express concern about the trajectory of this program and with no improvement a change at the top U.S. Inevitable. With a new AD if the BB program is not clearly better by this time next year there will be changes at the top.

Some of you guys need to come to grips with the fact that this Souf character is a troll. He's articulate and a wonderful debater but a troll none the less.

Time for Jamie to go. This non closing continually borders on the ridiculous. If he was a CEO with this many misses he would have been fired a long time ago.

You are totally fullof BS smf. anyone whose first post ia tosay apedo coach slaughing at us is a pedo fannot a pitt fan and your quote below is pure BS lies and nothing more.... \\
