Damn great effort. Turnovers in the second half killed us. But a one point loss on the road with 2 shots to win at the buzzer was way more than most expected. I kept imagining how it would have gone with a couple of the big studs we are after on the floor. To Iowa’s credit they shut off the driving lanes and Pitt could do nothing inside in the second half.

I think the outlook for the rest of the season may be a tad better than we thought

Expectations were based on the disaster of last year, however, no one could imagine how well the new guys are playing. This can be a bubble team if we win out the rest of non-conference and steal a few in the ACC. Hopefully the Pete gets packed for conference play. Not a bad loss for the resume.

This Iowa team is better than at least half of the ACC. I am thinking Pitt could do a lot better in ACC Play than originally expected. Instead of 5 or so wins it could be closer to 7 or 8. That puts us in NIT range.
