What we need is two new message boards for the I hate crowd.
Board 1 can be I hate the administrators board
Acceptable topics
I hate Nordy
I hate Peterson
I hate Dixon
He can't coach
He can't recruit
He can't hire competent assistants
He's overpaid
He can't schedule
I hate the assistants but a special topic is its all Bill Barton s fault
I hate the new administrators
Board 2 can be I hate the players
I hate JRob
I hate soft players
I hate JRob
I hate lack of effort
I hate JRob
I hate players who can't defend
I hate the grad transfers
I hate the new recruits
I hate the 2 guards
I hate the post players
I hate JRob
I hate the bench players
I hate the players who transferred
I hate the players who didn't come here
I hate Rowan more than JRob
I hate Heron more than JRob
I'm sure I've forgotten an I hate topic but other topics can be added that have merit . This way the rest of us don't have to constantly hear how terrible everything is all the time.
Balanced posters will be allowed on all boards the haters only on the I hate boards

I don't hate JRob at all. What I do hate is the fact that he has not gotten better at all at Pitt and is probably 1 of the worst point guards we have had in quite some time. No coincidence that the program has declined year after year with him running the show. Sure we need better recruits but why do I have a feeling that if Krauser or Knight or Fields were playing now we'd be in a much better position to make the tourney and go far.

Probably because they played with a better supporting cast. They may helped this team, I really don't think that they would elevate the team to your expectations. This isn't a knock on either player, but the current team has weaknesses that Knight or Krauser couldn't overcome.

Putting all Pitts ills on one player is wrong. For a second let's just say he was the best point guard in college bb sure they'd be better but they still couldn't play defense and rebound . They still wouldn't be getting production at the 2. The kid busts his butt for the team it's just his skills have plateaued is that really his fault ? Do you feel other potential recruits especially post players reject Pitt because he's running the show ? Is he a Johnny Manzeil clone out partying all night and getting in trouble with the law ? Epps and Newkirk didn't work out and it's very unlikely Pitt could have gotten a top point guard recruit with a top 50 kid firmly entrenched at the position as a freshman until this year. Kids come to play not ride the pine. He's not a pro he's a 21/22 year old kid playing college bb to the best of his abilities he appears to be a solid citizens what more do you want from him ? It's not even pointing out his weaknesses constantly it's the venom which people attack him that bothers me.

There should also be a dedicated PENN STATE board, where those obsessed with that topic can go there and talk about EVERYTHING PENN STATE all day long!

And a Cheer Leader Board, where all topics must be positive, like if we lose a game 75-2, all you're allowed to mention is how great that basket was!

Were we better in 2013-2014 than 2012-2013??? Surrounding cast makes a difference. I think Jrob plateaued as a soph. Still workable, though..

Pitt has in my memory had only one score-first point guard: Krauser.

Krauser, Knight, McCullough, Miller, Fields, Woodall and Robinson (soon) are the only point guards who have scored over 1,000 points (ignoring that a couple of them also played some at the 2 position).

I would rank them (1) Knight (2) Miller (3) Krauser (4) McCullough (5) Robinson (6) Fields and (7) Woodall.
Robinson is not the best, not the worst, but steady enough to build a team around.

I would argue Pitt's failure is at the 2 (Pitt's off guard is often not a shooting guard).

Sure, Fields 6th and you have Robinson as better in 5th. That is absolutely ridiculous.
