As everyone seems to be jumping off the Pitt/Narduzzi bandwagon it's important to keep the big program picture in mind and look at what a successful regular season it has been:
1. 8 wins under a first year head coach is a success. Also, these kids weren't Narduzzi recruits and they bought in.
2. Pitt is graduating the 3rd fewest seniors in Div 1-A (one of which being L. Pitts) from a 8-9 win team. That game and winning experience will pay off for returning players.
3. Combined 3 losses were to teams that are 30-2. Pitt didn't lose to inferior teams unlike previous years, and today is just a dud that hopefully they can learn from.
4. 6-2 in conference play is something to be pleased with and build off of, and it's been done without Conner.
5. They wont be playing a bowl game in Birmingham. Yes the Gator Bowl would've been nice, but it could be worse.
Yes, today's game has been a disappointment, but overall this regular season has way more positives to look at and build of off than negative ones.
