As everyone seems to be jumping off the Pitt/Narduzzi bandwagon it's important to keep the big program picture in mind and look at what a successful regular season it has been:

1. 8 wins under a first year head coach is a success. Also, these kids weren't Narduzzi recruits and they bought in.
2. Pitt is graduating the 3rd fewest seniors in Div 1-A (one of which being L. Pitts) from a 8-9 win team. That game and winning experience will pay off for returning players.
3. Combined 3 losses were to teams that are 30-2. Pitt didn't lose to inferior teams unlike previous years, and today is just a dud that hopefully they can learn from.
4. 6-2 in conference play is something to be pleased with and build off of, and it's been done without Conner.
5. They wont be playing a bowl game in Birmingham. Yes the Gator Bowl would've been nice, but it could be worse.

Yes, today's game has been a disappointment, but overall this regular season has way more positives to look at and build of off than negative ones.

Well said. I believe this is the right coach for Pitt and I appreciate the effort from the players this year and we're still going to win this game!

Well... Where has this been all season from Darrin Hall? He's looking good today. Need to play d and get another TD trim that lead to 6!

the non-holding call may lead to Canes points, which would deflate comeback hopes

+1 We have met or exceeded all realistic expectations this year. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this team play all year. I'm looking forward to one more game to try to hit nine wins.

Also, considering that the depth and talent level this staff has to work with will almost assuredly improve dramatically over the next few years, I'm excited about the future of Pitt football. At the very least we seem to have righted the ship and are headed in a good direction now.

Good job and thanks to all of the players and coaches for treating us to a lot of good solid entertaining winning football this year.

Very enjoyable.

Nards and the players won some really tough road games, gt, vt, syracuse, duke ...

Solid , agree, 10-2 or better would have been great. Recruiting needs to dramatically pick up for us to have some great seasons.

10-2 with mostly the same team, without Conner, would have been a miracle. What PITT did in the regular season was great, considering the strength of schedule and fact that this staff hasn't even been at PITT for a year.

Recruiting is picking up. It's early, things will heat up once all playoff games are completed and players can focus on final visits.
