Gymnastic Coach Fired

AD Lyke fired another coach
today. The gymnastics coach
was fired after six seasons.
I know nothing about Pitt
gymnastics, but I did read
they had an overall losing
record including this year.
Any more to this firing
besidres the losing record?

Trib Live reported it as
six years. I am clueless
about this sport. My
sense is Lyke has high
epectations for all of
Pitt's athletic programs,
Those expectations also
include winning. BTW,
Coach White (women's
Bball) got five years. His
win/loss record was
worse than Pitt's
gymnastics program.
Gymnastics 50 - 83.
Women's Bball 42-99.

My sense is (and I have
no proof of this) Lyke
tells her coaches, we'll
support you, give you
resources, and give you
a reasonable amount of
time, but you have to
produce. Sounds good
to me.

The Russian judges had a problem with her hardline stance on the defense of the Ukraine so she had to go for the sake of the school...
