*Its nice to have a stress free Opener so far. The next three weeks certainly won't be.

*The Pitt offense is certainly vanilla today, but today's vanilla is light years better than last year's vanilla against Villanova

*There were a few breakdowns caused by bad reads in the secondary that easily would have been TDs against Penn State or Okie State. Need to clean those up, but without Whitehead the next two weeks it's a concern.

*Did Pitt have any pass rush in the first half? Not much pressure.

*Brown threw twice into double coverage. On one hand, it's good to see he isn't afraid to be aggressive, but he's also lucky he wasn't picked. He throws a decent ball. Looking forward to watching him this season.

*It's only YSU, but the offensive line looks to be very cohesive so far. The backs aren't breaking big runs but the initial push is there. Where is Moss? AJ Davis was the 3rd back we saw. Speaking of which, congrats on your first TD young man!

*Hardly any penalties. Maybe one or two?

*Great call by Narduzzi to go for it on that fourth down. His aggressiveness there was great to see especially because you knew YSU couldn't stop consecutive And 1s.

*Hopefully we get a look at Kessman on a few field goals in the second half. His mechanics look good on the extra points so far.

Interesting commentary to contrast to the over the top disaster sky is falling comments made as a result of the second half. It is pretty clear the team and coaches felt they could make no halftime changes stay completely plain vanilla and mail in a 42-0 score. They found out otherwise.

Yes. Quite a tale of two halves. I'm going to stay positive because the offense we saw against Villanova last year wasn't anything like what we saw the rest of the season.

Also, Penn state looked like garbage last September and damn near made the playoff. Teams can and do get better.

Also, Pitt is hardly the first Power 5 team to have trouble with a top FCS opponent.
