Hamlin full Participant in Practice Today

Fans are the same everywhere. Except at Penn st.
Christ. Look at LSU fans. Georgia fans. ND fans. All fan bases who want or wanted their coaches fired. Programs that have delivered much more wins than Pitt has.

Pitt is extremely lucky to have the 30000 die hard fans it does. After how this program has been run for the last 3 decades.

Yeah, I feel for those Georgia fans who have Chaney for at least the rest of this season.

I was around for the Jackie Sherrill run of 33-3 from 1979 to 1981. Even then I was amazed how people would bitch because we lost one game to a really good team. Fans are so spoiled. Used to bitch that Jackie could not win the big one. That is fact not opinion. I was there most of these snot nosed poseurs were not.
Well. If they really did complain back then after Pitt went 33-3. They are morons.

Perhaps, thats why Pitt fans have been punished since.

Thanks a lot you negative posters from 35 years ago.

What cracks me up is the idiots who want to throw a true freshman out there, who was hurt and missed most of training camp right into the fire.........because you know it is that easy

and the result will be how much different than the alternative. we have been torched in the air by every division one team we have played. If Nard needs to continue press man, then get the bigger, faster guys out there, even if they are not experienced.

I wonder how Henry Miller and Campbell is progressing. I haven't heard much about them all year even in training camp
Yeah, it isn't like we should just be pinning all hopes to Hamlin or Coleman. What is going on with everyone else? The guys playing are horrible. If they have been our best options, we must not have much talent in the wings AND the decision to stick with the current scheme is really bad.

Yeah. He's been horrible. Glad Georgia took him off our hands. I think Ole Miss was beating them late like 45-0.

He's a brilliant strategist (when it comes to figuring out how to extend his coaching career for the most $). If he stayed at Pitt and got fired/pushed out, he'd likely have to drop to a non power five school to look for employment (for a lot less $).

By taking the Georgia job, he essentially ensured that his fall will not be as far when he's fired/ pushed out. Just holding the position as a OC at one of the better SEC programs (no matter how poorly the offense performs under him) will be enough for some poor sucker AD at a lower tier Power 5 school (like BC) to believe he'd be an instant upgrade. So sneaky Chaney will be able to squeeze a nice bit of coin out of another university before they actually catch on about his lack of true talent and his inability to do much of anything to improve the offense.

1984 - Pitt started the year ranked #3 in the country and is playing in their on campus stadium against BYU. 40k and change show up. We were a Top 10 program in the country at the time.

I was at that game. Sal Genella was the QB then. BYU went on and won the national championship that year.

Anyway, college football is 20 times more popular today than it was back then. Thank ESPN's of the world.

If Pitt is ranked liked that preseason this year or next. I garentee Heinze field would be close to a sell out. Heck, we had 51,000 at this years Villanova game. And we've been irrelevant for over 3 decades

John Congemi was the QB.

You can turn the TV on any given Sunday and watch CB's in the NFL not turn their head around. Give me a break.

??? Who said you couldn't??? Does that make him a great nfl caliber CB??? Nooooooo

Give me a break. You just wasted several minutes of my life responding to that weird retort

Sounds like narduzzi prefers to redshirt these corners if he can.

I think if any of them play that is more because our guys just flat out suck. Which is happening. But of course we did just face 2 of the best passing attacks the last 2 weeks.

Osu and nc back to back would make many fan bases hate their corners

Of course OSU threw for half as many yards last week, 0 TDs, and almost 50% of the ypc. Close to the same thing for them against Central Michigan.

UNC was practically the same case against Illinois and far more drastic against UGA.

So...not really. Basically just made us look really bad.

Well, Rudolph got injured, and NC was way up and ran the ball all second half only threw 24 passes, so not even close to apples to apples.

But, I dont think anyone is saying Pitt's cbs are playing great. I am very very happy they made one play this year though
