Giving thanks today for faith, family and good health! And of course, Pitt basketball.
I firmly believe Capel has us trending in the right direction. He has these guys playing hard for him....denying passing lanes, putting pressure on the ball, playing good help side defense and just really focusing on the little things needed to win. I caught the last 8 minutes of PSU v. Bradley last night and omg Penn State is just passing the ball around the perimeter and chucking up 3's. What fun it is watching our guys drive to the hoop thereby creating opportunities at the free throw line and just putting pressure on the opposing D to defend. I can only imagine how good we can be with some talent upgrade down low. The tough part for all of us might be having patience to see this all come together. We will more than likely only manage a few ACC wins this year but the future sure looks bright if Capel can recruit some high level frontcourt players.
