First, I will say that I don't think BWI is representative of their fanbase, at least not the ones that are sexually slandering Sarah ganim, and saying Sandusky is innocent.

However, I will say that lost that I know still get defensive about paterno. How can anyone defend the guy...I mean at best, he didn't do enough to stop a pedophile. At worst, he enabled Sandusky.

You have to be pretty sick to defend paterno at this point.

I don't think BWI is representative either. I remember they ran a poll a couple years ago and the average age of over 1,000 respondents was like 60. They're old jabronies clinging to symbols that they believe communicate something honorable about themselves to everyone else. No way in hell are they gonna let that go easily.
