The last few games we're seeing a big change in Horton.
Like many on here, I wondered if he could play at ACC
level. He appeared to be a stand still shooter, with no
floor game, and very poor defensively. I saw the same
things in Stewart when he first came here.
The difference is Horton is not only hitting his shot
at a decent rate recently, but he's also moving better
without the ball, and he's making plays off the dribble.
Yesterday he penetrated a few times and scored off
the dribble. This makes him much harder to guard,
and gives our offense another option. His D, although
not great, is at least improving. He's hustling and is
much more active defensively.
Our three main studs are obviously X, Toney, and Champ.
Those are the guys getting the touches, when there's a
fourth option that can have the ball kicked out to him
for a three...it makes it very tough on the defense.
I like what I'm seeing.
Now, if we only had a legitimate BIG.
