Only thing keeping them from a perfect season through 10 games is an embarrassing loss to one of the absolute worst teams in P5, if not in all of D1 football. The power rankings have Pitt at #106 out of 133 D1 teams, the only P5 program ranked lower is Vandy.

They basically just threw the ball up for grabs trying to get DPI penalties. They weren't even trying to complete passes. They left their fate in the hands of the officials and lost. They could have made plays in the short passing game and Pitt would give up big gains on missed tackles. That loss was 100% coaching. They beat themselves.

Pitt has some crazy record going like 8 straight years with a win over a ranked team. I would guess that Pitt is one of the very few programs in that category. Like, you look at programs like PSU, who are much better, they dont always beat a ranked team every year.
