-Wait a second here. Ollison was the acc freshmen of the year on offense. His stats are better than Barkley and he scored more TD's than Barkley as a fresmen. Pitt gets Moss and George Hill, Penn State gets Sanders. Sizable advantage Penn State at RB for PSU? Based off what?
Here is a good way to evaluate one's views on the Running Backs & Teams and Game:Barkley is a far more explosive and better back than Ollison. You'd be in limited company to not think that Barkley provides PSU with a sizeable advantage at RB if Connor doesn't play.
Explosive yes but tough not sure!Barkley is a far more explosive and better back than Ollison. You'd be in limited company to not think that Barkley provides PSU with a sizeable advantage at RB if Connor doesn't play.

I agree with you comparing Ollison to Barkley BUT I think the offensive lines of each team will determine the advantage at running back.
The nits are going to use a quick passing game as shown in their spring game. A few three and outs and their defense could be hands on hips gasping for air very quickly opening it up for whoever the back for Pitt is to have a big day.
I think Pitt's offensive line can beat up their defensive line and open up some huge holes and lanes for whoever the running back is. Their defensive line isn't experienced and deep as in the past and can be ripe for the picking so to speak. We catch them at the right time of year.
Very good post with relevant insights, Thanks!I agree with you comparing Ollison to Barkley BUT I think the offensive lines of each team will determine the advantage at running back.

How do you guys think your Pitt Panthers will do against my lions this year?
I will wait to give my opinion. I am genuinely interested in analysis from Pitt fans.
Also, I have been following James Connors story and that kid is inspiring.
This game will come down to Pitt oline against our dline. Right now you have to give the edge to Pitt. 3 very good defensive lineman are gone from PSU, 2 of them were interior guys. The biggest question mark and the key to PSU being in the game will be the new offense. If it clicks then it will be a dog fight. If it doesn't click then I see a 10-14 point Pitt win. I'm not a homer, this is going to be a very difficult game for PSU to win.

Spin this. Do you know how much talent was on Temple's D? Do you know how many will play in the NFL? Far more than Pitt had this past year. Why knock another team? Temple had very good talent last year.-Penn State lost to Temple 27-10. Spin that, you got embarrassed by Temple and have no d-line.
That has absolutely nothing to do with what I stated. Temple had very good talent on D. Can you seriously argue that point? NFL owners agree and that's why they'll get drafted.
What is your problem? I simply stated Temple had a very good D and will have at least 3 players in the NFL. Is that not true? Where did I make any comparisons to anything? You are the one with a serious comprehension problem. I said nothing of what you state. How many three and four star players did PSU have compared to Temple? If you say that stars don't matter, then why are you and the rest of the cult always bragging about your recruiting classes the last couple years??
If you say they do matter, then how did Temple destroy you? Maybe it was bad coaching from your head coach?????
Will Temple have more players drafted than PSU???
You're ate up with dumb...

Here is a good way to evaluate one's views on the Running Backs & Teams and Game:
1. If a Pitt Fan ask oneself would you want Barkley on this Pitt Team?
2. If you are a PSU Fan ask oneself would you want Ollison on PSU Team?
3. If you are PSU Fan ask oneself would you want Conner starting For PSU on 10 September?
4. If you are a Pitt Fan ask oneself do you want Conner or Ollison to start and play more in that game?
One can have bias, favorites, and stick to supporting the Teams and University, but lying to oneself will never be the answer. Up to all to answer as you feel, believe, and know in your heart. This will tell you more than anything and need not post it unless you wish.
U Mass - 23
UPS - 10
Been following this argument, but I don't know how relevant any of that is when if you COMBINE those totals, you still come up with less than what SMU put up!
Nevertheless, I say Pitt by 2 TDs (though I'm obviously biased).
Well then I guess you know more than NFL coaches and scouts. You're just mincing words. I never made comparisons, and transitive properties don't work in football. Please carry on the silliness. This is a free board, not paid. Who are you to tell someone not to be here?
Remember 13-9? We beat the number 2 ranked team at their place in the biggest game in their history. Because we were ready to battle. It's very tough to predict rivalries. Especially one like this. There will be so much emotion.-Outside of this being a rivalry game, this game shouldnt even be close.

I love Pitt!!! But please shut up. You are jinxing us with all of your bravado and trash talk about how this won't be close.
Trash talk comes from insecurity and overcompensating. Act like you have been there before. Ever heard that.-Trash talk imposes fear. And that's what Penn State should feel.
