Play all out for a win, all hands on deck, everyone plays to win.
Keep key players out and hope the remainder play well enough to win.
Play alot of 2's and 3's on the depht chart just to get the game over with
and move on to the ACC championship game.

No, you play to win this game so you have a chance to be ranked at the end of the season and get a better bowl game.

If Pitt beats Miami... they will go into the ACC championship game ranked somewhere between 18th and 22nd. If they lose, they won't be ranked.

Then, with a competitive loss to Clemson, they'll still be ranked... have 8 wins... and have a better bowl selection - maybe even the Camping World Bowl.

Lose to Miami and lose to Clemson and they are 7-6 and going to the Sun Bowl if they're lucky, or to Detroit if they aren't.

This program needs the buzz of ending the season ranked and getting 9 wins.

Play to beat Miami's brains in. If we get a big lead, rest the starters in the 4th quarter. Otherwise, balls to the wall for the win.

The Fan? Laughable. Downright clownish a lot of the time.

Pitt would be best served by playing in the best bowl they possibly can play in: notoriety and location-wise. Pitt could use some more real positive attention and recognition. The best way to do that is to win games. Particularly vs "name" programs that are perceived as better ones. The next 3 games could all be vs teams that fit that description.

Big opportunities for Pitt. Play to win. Every time.

This is what the greatest thing about sports is. You play to win the game. Hello! You play to win the game! You don't play to just play it. That's the great thing about sports. You play to win. And I don't care if you don't have any wins, you go play to win. When you start telling me it doesn't matter, then retire. Get out! Cause it matters.

Lose to Miami and you are looking at the possibility of a 7-7 season, which would be horribly deflating.

I think they will be ready to play next week, and end up winning a close game.

Play to win Narduzzi and others I'm sure still have a bad taste in their mouths from playing PSU, Central Fla and NC this year. They need all the wins they can garner to end this season on a positive note if for nothing else than recruiting purposes.

Play to win, all hands on deck including walking wounded, no exceptions. H2P!

To win! We want 8 wins and a better bowl game.

You gotta play to win. That being said if you have someone who is banged up and may be on the fence....such as Morrissey I might think about giving the young guy a start and try to have him available next week. If we needed this for the championship I would say go for it but I wouldn't want to make a player worse. Kinda wish there was an extra week between the championship

I've got a feeling Narduzzi wouldn't know how to ease up and take a breather. That being said, lets take quick early lead so some of our more dinged up guys can catch a rest.

He was so calm the other day , even when we were not moving the ball and looked troubling at the half. Much different than he showed earlier the year. Maybe Heather and him talked about his demeanor and positive criticism. He is growing up, young head coach in years leading a team, and it showing these days.

As others said - and it’s the only correct answer. This isn’t like the NFL and having a bye and home field secured.

Good observation. Noticed it in his PC this past week, too. Much more playful and not so tight. Seemed like he was actually enjoying it and relaxed. Having some fun.

Carter has now played 4 games. You could sit him and make that decision later. I’d think he probably plays vs. Clemson though? Other than that you go all out.

I would rest injured players. But I play starters to win game. I think we are already guaranteed a tier one bowl by making the ACC championship. But it would so much better for perception and momentum to be 8-4 and ranked then 7-5 and not ranked heading into that game.

uh, game 11 is followed by game 12 and is played with Pitt Panther starting football players......

Remember when Wanny kept stressing that the WVU game wasn't that big of a deal, that all eyes were on the prize against Cinci the following week? How'd that go? I've posted before.....losing that WVU did more damage to us than 13-9 did to WVU. Cost us a top 10 ranking, dropped to 3rd place in a a crap conference and went to a tire bowl.

It is college football, everything is based on ranking. Need to win and move up in the polls. There won't be much movement at all after this weekend. So if we lose and drop out of the poll, not much chance of getting back in unless we beat Clemson.

This is a very important game.
