Seems a lot different than the men's.

Looks like 16 teams are seeded 1-4 while 48 teams are unseeded.

- 1st Round games are home or away

- 8 teams in each bracket go to 1 location for 2nd and 3rd round games

- Elite 8 is a home or away match.

Right or wrong?

Looks like Pitt will get at least 1 home match.....and could possibly host the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

You are correct.

16 teams are seeded across 4 regions.

Weekend 1 (Round of 64)- 1 game weekend, higher seed hosts

Weekend 2 (Rounds of 32 and 16). If seeds hold you have 1 and 4 meeting in the Round of 16 at one site and 2 and 3 meeting at another.

Weekend 3 (Elite 8)

Weekend 4 (Final 4/College Cup)

The women’s coaches are pushing in the future to change the format slightly and have an 8-team College Cup.

OK, so if Pitt got a top 8 national seed, they'd host the Round of 32 and Sweet 16 weekend. That seems possible. Maybe then, they can pay someone $1000 to move those bleachers from right field at softball to midfield at soccer
