Perfect summary! Yes, Pitt played bad and made bad decisions, BUT if they right call was made on the slide it’s a Pitt W!

It shouldn’t even have to decide a game or not. It just should be the correct call. Period. Especially when it was so clearly obvious as that was. Officiating SHOULD be unbiased and competent, whether a 1 point game or a 111 point game. That last few minutes wasn’t close to being either.

Yes. Pitt didn’t play well and deserved to lose. But in spite of all that, they were still in position to win the game. But poor refereeing cost them the win in the end. If two bad teams are playing, someone has to win. In fairness, it should be the team that made a play at the end to win the game. That would be Pitt.

Whether it “costs” a game or not, a clearly bad call (calls, really…See the final Td which was clearly down as well) should not be excused. They just shouldn’t happen. Crews that mess these up so badly should be investigated and disciplined. But we know that they can’t even be complained about, because the complainer will be doubly abused…Lyke and Duz would likely be fined. And then the ACC would triple down on the screw jobs in future games. So … what can be done, other than bend over and take it deep and dirty … and in silence
