Probably most --

The complaints were constant -- Chaney leaving us, coaching carousel, etc etc -- Canada was Fired by NC State and now we take him? He's a bum!

One year later, and suddenly Canada is the next Nick Saban.

Everyone needs to calm down -- Duzzi will find another solid OC should Canada, just as he did last year when Cheney left.

The program is in great hands with Duzzi and the chancellor and Barnes as AD - Canada leaving won't change anything

The thing with Canada is that he always was a good coach and was always sought after, what happaned last year came out of nowhere and he pretty much had nowhere else to go,if Pitt wants to make a statement they should go after enes, another close friend to PN

I think he clashed big time with Bielema in Wisconsin over play calling as well. It happens, probably no big deal, but there was a power struggle there.

The same people complaining when we hired him will be the same people complaining if he leaves. Ironic aye.

That's the part I think irritates most folks. Pitt took him in when he was more than likely going to be on the street and who knows where after sitting out a year. It's the loyalty part that bothers people in this brutal business of coaching. After 2 years of being highly successful then people can understand leaving but turning your back on a guy who gave you a job when no one else was going to stings bad!

It wasn't just after he was hired... there was tons of negative sentiment from the usual suspects after the Villanova game too. And actually after the Okla St and UNC games for the lack of offense in the fourth quarters of both games.

I must not have been here when Canada was hired, because I don't remember any of this bitching about him. There was maybe 1 or 2 posters that complained about him being forced out at NC St. If there was a long list of people, I would suggest you come up with a list before making it sound like a lot of people flipped their opinion on him, because I do not remember that to be the case.

The majority of the board loved the hire. They talked of him being Narduzzi's initial candidate that he was not able to bring in. They loved his pro style offense. They loved the number he put up at wisky and what he could do with out stable of backs.

On the other hand, this board hated Chaney and was glad to see him go. The only reason anybody here wanted to keep Chaney was due to his relationship with Sanders and he being the last ditch effort to flip him from PSU.

And I LOVE Narduzzi, but he's also hired Chaney (bad), Conklin (bad), Hill (bad), Harley (i like his recruiting more than his coaching), Sherman (no feeling), Sims, Powell, Peterson, Salem (all 4 good).

So 9 assistant hires. 4 good, 3 bad and 2 meh's. The next OC being a good one because Narduzzi is picking them is FAR from a slam dunk.

Conklin and Hill have been the only question marks to this point. Everyone else was a decent to good hire.

A lot of us did fuss. I was one of them.
Fortunately, he proved me and others wrong this year.

There was definitely a lot of fussing. Whether it was the vocal minority or a lot of posters I can't remember. But there was complaints, even through the unc game.

Doesn't matter who replaces Canada, Chaney leaving was the greatest thing that's happened here in years. He was an absolutely horrid offensive coordinator.

I didn't know enough to either complain or support it.
So I sat back and read the whiners until I vomited.

I was glad Chaney left, he stunk.
Was underwhelmed by the Canada hire- I was wrong he was terrific.
Offense is going to take a step back because our o line will be worse.

Maybe some of you will learn from your mistakes, and give the new OC a chance before criticizing him.

I don't think it will. We get worse at one position. The other 4 will be same or better imo.
