Say what you want about the pro set offense, that it’s conservative, etc. Fact is, there are open targets that aren’t getting the ball. There are penalties and frankly underwhelming play on O-line for a bunch guys who are in their 6th year…

Can they scheme tweak a bit, sure. But it’s difficult when the offense isn’t able to run the basic sets. There are many issues, not one that lead to this result. Most of them reside in execution, poor choices and poor technique. Play calls are down the list, the effort and focus of players and coaches today through Friday is what concerns me.

We don’t have a bunch of superstars. But this team collectively should be better and they look like a bunch of guys who are still celebrating the win over UCLA. If these old men don’t dial in fast, it’s going to be a disaster of a season and will kill the recruiting.
