I give the kid credit. He seems to understand the situation he landed in last year and who was loyal to him. He is repaying that loyalty when he very easily could have transferred and nobody would have thought badly of him for one second.

I don't know why anyone would think we'd have a worse record when probably have everyone back besides Gueye. Add Sibande and a full year Horton plus will get some type of PG in the portal.

Who cares, we won 11 games with him this season. We need so much more to compliment Hugley and Capel won't be able to get those types of players. He'll stay and then when Capel gets fired after next season he'll go overseas if he isn't gonna make an NBA team.

The boosters had their chance for Miller in 2018 so they're going to have to live with the lottery ticket.
If the buyout is only $5 million, PGT won't have to pay the buyout. That's a cost of doing business. Surely, if we go 4-16 like everyone is predicting, Capel isn't getting Year 6 especially with Hugley leaving (which I'd expect).

He's going to lose some players and, in all probability, get players of lesser ability to replace them. He is incapable of recruiting. Also, the rest of the ACC will be better. We won 6 this year....expect maybe 4 wins next year.

I don’t understand the rationale that the team will get better cause capel is building it through the transfer portal. He built this years team through portal, and us fans saw how that worked out. He had 5 open spots last year and he had trouble filling out a roster. The first transfer he got was olidapo so he started at the bottom of the barrel. He got a lightly recruited juco and left one scholarship open. He will probably have more than 5 spots this year. Don’t see roster upgrading.
The team will be better because it appears the key players are coming back and players get better with age. I was at PPG this weekend and all I heard during starting lineups was "Graduate student and senior." Being old doesn't guarantee success but it helps. Miami's average age for their starters was 24.
Losing Gueye hurts but Sibande mostly offsets that. Horton for a full season helps. And we will get a PG.
what's the upside to waiting? You seem confident he's gone so you either 1) know him or know someone close to him or 2) you're guessing. I'm not doubting you, but if you knew Horton or knew someone close to him and the answer is "Horton is gone", why hasn't he put his name in the portal yet? Teams will be filling up soon.. the later you wait, the worse it could get. I just don't understand what he'd possibly be waiting for.. unless he simply doesn't know yet or is staying.
This years team was old and it didn’t help. Relying on a guy coming off of major knee surgery who only had a couple of good games as a savior is misguided. Also nike and burton play same position and play same way. They won’t be able to coexist on the court together, and if they are on court together Hugley won’t see the ball.
You mean the team that won 6 ACC games? LOL! Do they have any good players? I know people will say Hugley and he is serviceable, but we lose Gueye and I don't see any replacement yet. Plus Capel is such a poor recruiter that he is incapable of getting anyone decent.
Again, if the team stayed as it is right now (which it won't) and Capel somehow lucked out and even got 1 good portal player, we'd still only win 4 ACC games next year. Maybe 5. The rest of the ACC will be better and Capel can't coach.
