Not trying to be negative at all. We know he is a very good recruit. Just curious as to how impressive the very nice stats were. Was the opponent a very strong one or just an average one?

James is also an accomplished guitarist.

Love the 44% from 3. If he can give us anything next year even just rebounding this team will be so much better.

While he doesn't play above the rim (yet?), he shows very nice agility with that big body. If he can bang in the paint at the next level, that will be huge. His outside shooting touch is a very nice bonus.

The pump fake side-step 3-point shot showed some unexpected quick twitch action. For a big who's been drilling in the paint for most of his HS career, he likely had to put in some extra work to add that. Signs of a basketball passion and good work ethic.

You don't have to play Above the Rim to be a very good effective player and a perfect example of that was Big Lett. I'm not sure if he could even dunk or not but he was very effective down low

Correct - rebounding is more about positioning, instincts, and desire. You can be a good rebounder at 6-5 or so, as evidenced by these guys.

Just to clarify, I'm not stating that playing above the rim is a requirement for a big to be successful in the ACC. I am pointing out his current style of play, and that he'll need to be able to throw around his big body in this league. Lately, we've seen too many who aren't up to that challenge.
