If.....IF any of these 3 guys are hired, it would be a major upgrade of the last 5 years of Pitt basketball. Not sure why any Pitt fan would be disappointed, especially for what they endured
Hurley the most clean and most potential. Would receive a lot of positive attention from national media. Also a guy that could move on if things go very well.
Miller was a top coach a couple years ago, but obviously has fallen. Heather and University would do their homework and background checks. He would bring instant buzz to the alumni base. He would also stay home.
Matta was very good at Ohio State. His resume next to Dixon's is an eye opener. Like Miller, Heather and the University would do their homework to make sure he's 100% capable and doing the job. I also think he would stay and not use job as stepping stone.
Let's hope Heather gets it done. No matter who is hired, many Pitt fans will complain, just like the ones who wanted Mario Cristobal over Duzz. But it's about getting better and all 3 of these guys check that list.
