… who else will be there?

It’s good to feel this way again going into the season.

I think the preseason prediction of #9 seems pretty fair. I could see us finishing anywhere between 5 and 12. It’s all about our freshman pair of guards.

But it’s good to know that it least CAN get done under Capel. This time last year, I had more than my share of doubts.

I’m hoping for big games from Bub and Jaland.

Will be there and can't wait to see these freshman guards.

I'm going and I'm excited as well. Probably moreso since football ended awhile ago. And it feels like the Dixon days where we are going into the season with a realistic chance of making the NCAAT. Haven't felt that way in awhile, not even last year really.

I’m still not sure on pre-game festivities once the season starts. Hemingway’s? Mario’s?

This is indeed a much bigger question that must be answered!! I’m guessing Mario’s just because it’s a little easier walk and we aren’t getting any younger. Lol

To be honest, I didn’t feel that way at all going into the season.

Given the first several years under Capel,
and all the new questionable transfers, I agree
with your reluctance last year. Of course after
our 1-3 start I had even stronger doubts. Our
inexperience in the backcourt is a real concern. We cannot
afford an injury with such a limited # of guards.

Great! And I'll be looking to hear your first
hand, post game evaluation.
Oh, I just saw that our girs won an exhibition
game tonight 117 -49. Is that for real and who
or what is Point Park U?
i

Point Park is a small University in downtown Pittsburgh. Most of their buildings are a couple blocks down the Boulevard of the Allies from Grant Street. They are an NAIA school. And not a very good one. The other day I happened to look on their web site to see if they had many local girls playing for them and I saw that they were predicted to finish right in the middle of the pack in something called the River States Conference.

I'll be there. Can't remember the last time I had this much optimism heading into the basketball season. If the freshman guards play up to their potential, Pitt should have a very solid season.

I bought a mini plan this year, and I picked this game as it's the only not on TV. I'm really excited to see all of the new faces plus the Triplets 2.0.

My seats are up high. Is it safe to say they'll invite us down to the lower bowl tonight?

I'll be there. So will a lot of people from Morningside and the former St Raphael's rooting for Vinnie Cugini

I didnt know he went there. That's pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing him play. Perhaps, he is a kid who has a good D2 career and transfers up.

Normally won’t even even need an invite just head on down

Feeling good about the season....that's cool. Nice to have something to look forward to.

I was greatly relieved to read your post. I was worried that I would read the dreaded phrase that shall never, ever be uttered by any Pitt fan....."we're back"
